ESTRADASPHERE: 'Palace Of Mirrors Live' DVD Trailer Available

September 19, 2007

Santa Cruz's unclassifiable and eclectic act ESTRADASPHERE has posted a three-minute trailer for the upcoming live DVD "Palace of Mirrors Live", due on October 2 via The End Records. Watch the trailer below.

Commented bassist Tim Smolens and filmmaker Chip Yamada, "Making the 'Palace' DVD has been ESTRADASPHERE's most fulfilling artistic collaboration thus far. We all felt collectively energized to challenge peoples definition of 'band,' live show, album, and movie. In our view these are all unnecessary distinctions. Our response has been to constantly push for higher standards in musicianship, production, and storytelling.

"The DVD is finally coming out October 2 and we just moved to Seattle to start a new multi-media recording studio/performance space. We're looking forward to meeting lots of classical, jazz, and folk musicians for use in future large ensemble recordings from ESTRADASPHERE and side projects. We are sitting on a lot of great recordings for future release and are planning a new show and hitting the road later this year opening for Amanda Palmer from the DRESDEN DOLLS."

The band — which released its debut titled "Palace of Mirrors" for The End Records in September 2006 — has toured North America many times over the last year, most recently as direct support slot for SECRET CHIEFS 3.
