Japanese theatrical phenomenon SOUND HORIZON's new maxi single, "Hikari to Yami no Douwa", which features former MEGADETH guitarist Marty Friedman on all of its tracks, entered the official chart in Japan at position No. 1. This is the first No. 1 recording Marty has played on in his entire career in any country.

SOUND HORIZON is known for its epic arrangements, extravagant theatrical concerts and devoted fans. This is Marty's first involvement with the project.

The second sold-out SOUND HORIZON concert at the Yoyogi Auditorium in Tokyo on June 20, at which the band will be joined by Marty on stage, will be shown in real time in 3-D in all TOHO Cinemas throughout Japan.

After completing the majority of the recording Los Angeles' most legendary recording studio, The Village Recorder, former MEGADETH guitarist Marty Friedman is back in Tokyo, Japan putting the finishing touches on his latest instrumental solo album.

More information and a video message from the sessions (in Japanese) can be found at www.martyfan.com.

Friedman's ninth album, "Tokyo Jukebox", was released in Europe on February 22, 2010 via Mascot Records. The CD features extensive liner notes (written by Friedman in the "story behind the song" format) which are exclusive to the European release.
