Ex-TNT Singer TONY HARNELL Announces Band For Upcoming Acoustic Performances
May 10, 2008STARBREAKER/ex-TNT vocalist Tony Harnell will perform a special acoustic show on Sunday, July 13 at the Upper Merion Township Building Park (175 W. Valley Forge Road) in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania as part of the 2008 King of Prussia Summer Concert Series. A New York City concert is in the works for the same week as Pennsylvania.
The shows will feature "a few TNT classics reworked, some WESTWORLD, MORNING WOOD, new solo material and maybe a little STARBREAKER and possibly a cover or two," according to Tony.
Harnell's band for these performances will consist of the following musicians:
Tony Harnell - Vocals
Jason Hagen - Guitar, Vocals
Brandon Wilde - Guitar, Vocals
Chris Foley - Guitar, Vocals
Amy Harnell (Tony's wife) - Vocals
Says Harnell: "I am lucky enough to have put together an amazing group of artists to support me for these few shows. These are people I respect immensely and am so proud to be able to share the stage with."
Tony Harnell recently uploaded three new demo tracks to his official MySpace page:
01. Cinematic
02. Out from Under the Black Cloud
03. The Show
Commented Harnell: "I decided to share a few of my new demos with you. Not all the songs will end up on my solo album. I am experimenting with different ideas and thought I would open that up to all of you. The Internet has changed everything and it just seems old fashioned and silly to hold music back till the final album when you could be enjoying new songs now. These are DEMOS so they are not perfect or finished which I think is the charm of the whole thing. And you can't download but you can come and listen anytime."
Harnell's final release as a member of TNT was the "Live in Madrid" DVD, which came out in September 2006 via MTM Music. The set, which was filmed on April 1, 2006 in Madrid, Spain, was accompanied by an 82-minute audio CD plus booklet liner notes from Harnell about his work with the group as well as an additional tour documentary by Darren Paltrowitz.
