EXODUS Frontman Puts Side Project On Hold To Focus On Upcoming CD

EXODUS frontman Steve "Zetro" Souza has decided to put his side project F-BOMB on indefinite hold in order to concentrate on the songwriting sessions for the forthcoming EXODUS studio CD, which is due to be recorded later in the year for an early 2003 release.

Souza and his EXODUS bandmates—guitarists Gary Holt and Rick Hunolt, bassist Jack Gibson, and drummer Tom Hunting—are set to commence intensive, five-days-a-week rehearsals at their Oakland studio and will be focusing all their efforts on completing the material for the upcoming album, the group's first full-length collection of new songs since 1992's Force Of Habit.

Although no firm recording dates have yet been scheduled, preliminary discussions have taken place between the band and producer Andy Sneap (who manned the knobs for the band's classic Another Lesson In Violence live CD) to produce the new CD, which will presumably surface through the Century Media label.

In other EXODUS-related news, congratulations are in order for Hunolt and longtime girlfriend Monica, who welcomed an eight-pound baby boy, Odin Hunolt, on May 26th.

As previously reported, EXODUS' next live appearance will take place on June 7th at The Roadhouse in Sacramento, California. They will be supported at the gig by DRAGONLORD, featuring TESTAMENT members Eric Peterson (guitar),Steve Smyth (guitar) and Jon Allen (drums).
