EXTREME To Play Reunion Show In Portugal

The original lineup of EXTREME, minus bassist Pat Badger, will reportedly reunite to perform at the 20th Maré de Agosto Internacional Music Festival (web site) on the Portuguese island of Santa Maria on August 22.

EXTREME guitarist Nuno Bettencourt, who was born on the Portugese archipelago of the Azores, is scheduled to perform several dates there with his current band POPULATION 1 for the August island festivals. In addition to the POPULATION 1 set, Bettencourt will reportedly reunite with former EXTREME bandmates Gary Cherone (vocals, ex-VAN HALEN) and Paul Geary (drums),with Carl Restivo on bass. It is not presently clear if any additional reunion dates are planned beyond the group's Santa Maria appearance.
