FACE DOWN To Enter Studio Next Weekend
October 24, 2004FACE DOWN, the reunited Swedish outfit featuring former THE HAUNTED singer Marco Aro, will enter Offbeat Studio in Stockholm next weekend (Oct. 30-31) to record three new songs: two brand new tracks ("Strife" and an as-yet-untitled number) as well as a reworking of an old unreleased song, now known as "Heretic".
"These three songs are clocking in under 10 minutes, so this means you all can expect a faster and more aggressive FACE DOWN in 2004," the band write in a newsletter.
Joining Aro in the new lineup are original members, bassist Joakim (Harju) Hedestedt (ex-CONSTRUCDEAD) and guitarist Joacim Carlsson (GENERAL SURGERY),plus new drummer Erik Thyselius (CONSTRUCDEAD, TERROR 2000).
FACE DOWN's forthcoming album, due in early 2005 through Sweden's Black Lodge Records, will feature brand new material, as well as reworked versions of some unreleased old tracks.
As previously reported, FACE DOWN have been confirmed for the 2005 edition of the 2000 Decibel Festival, tentatively set to take place next May in Bengtsfors, Sweden (180 km north of Gothenburg).
