April 11, 2005

A number of photos taking during FATES WARNING's appearance at the Headway Festival in Amstelveen, Netherlands on April 3 have been posted online by the French progressive metal webzine Progressa.net (courtesy of photographer Dan Tordjman). Check them out at this location. Sitting behind the drum kit for this special one-off performance was DREAM THEATER's Mike Portnoy.

As previously reported, FATES WARNING's video for the song "Simple Human" has been posted online at Yahoo! Music. The clip was shot on January 23 with director Jerry Clubb of MentalSuplex Productions, who has previously worked with SIX FEET UNDER on their "Dead and Buried" video.

"Simple Human" comes off the group's most recent CD, "FWX", available now on Metal Blade Records. The follow-up to 2000's "Disconnected" was recorded at Carriage House studios in Stamford, Connecticut and features cover artwork by renowned record-cover artist Ioannis (DREAM THEATER, SEPULTURA, DEEP PURPLE, BLUE ÖYSTER CULT, YNGWIE MALMSTEEN, KING CRIMSON, BIOHAZARD, VOIVOD, UFO, OVERKILL).
