FILTER recently announced a new run of U.S. tour dates that will begin on June 12 in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The band is supporting its first album in six years, "Anthems for the Damned", and also features an all-new lineup behind frontman and founder Richard Patrick. The singer told The Pulse of Radio that putting together a great live band was crucial for him. "You know, I sat down and I went, 'You know what? If I'm gonna do FILTER, I really want to hire, like, amazing people to be with me,'" he said. "You know, I had a lot of guys that were just kind of like my drinking buddies, you know, and it was almost based on more of a friendship. This band, it's completely, totally professional, and with the talent of these guys, I can take FILTER to another level and that's what we're trying to bring live."
Support on the tour will come from 10 YEARS.
The first single from "Anthems for the Damned", "Soldiers of Misfortune", was inspired by a FILTER fan who was killed while serving in the Middle East.
