FIREWIND Guitarist Checks In From The Road

Greek metallers FIREWIND will be interviewed by DJ Rocklady on Thursday, November 27 beginning at 8:00 p.m. U.K. time at TrebleRadioRocks.com.

FIREWIND's first-ever live effort, "Live Premonition", has just been released all across Europe this week and is available as DVD, 2CD and deluxe DVD+2CD set offering a stunning 22-song set filmed and recorded earlier this year in the band's hometown of Thessaloniki.

The 2CD version of "Live Premonition" consists of the audio portion of the main show on two separate CDs, available for the price of one CD. The DVD also features many extras such as behind-the-scenes footage, special acoustic live performances, promo clips and much more.

FIREWIND is currently headlining the "Live Premonition Over Europe" tour. Guitarist/mainman Gus G. reports from the road:

"We just completed the first seven shows and we are on our first and much-needed off day! This is our first headline tour in Europe and we feel very excited about it since we've been around Europe at least four times as a support act. We have matched our expectations so far by playing before very nice crowds in Germany, Holland, Belgium and France.

"There have been some small technical problems the first few days such as broken bass cabs, forgotten toms in Holland and also having to drop off some cabs because our trailer was overweight. BUT in the end we managed it, and like Zoe (our light engineer) says, 'there's no problems, only solutions!'

"Some of the highlights have been Essen and Belgium where we played at the legendary and almost sold-out Biebob club. A dream that came true was the show in Paris. Headlining at Elysee Montmartre was definitely a very fulfilling moment and in order to thank our Parisian fans for coming out, we played GARY MOORE's 'Parisienne Walkways' exclusively for them! We're heading South now, with 2 more shows in France and then Spain and Italy's next. So, if you live in any of these countries, check out the dates and come out to the shows. We'll rock you to the ground and that's a promise!"
