FORBIDDEN, SINBREED Members Interviewed On 'Maximum Threshold'

Steve Smyth (FORBIDDEN),Pearl Aday (ANTHRAX guitarist Scott Ian's wife and daughter of legendary crooner Meat Loaf) and Flo Laurin (SINBREED) were interviewed on this past Saturday's (February 20) edition of the "Maximum Threshold" show. FORBIDDEN last fall posted two new songs — "Hopenosis" and "Adapt or Die" — on the band's MySpace page. Both cuts were recorded and mixed by Tim Narducci (SPIRALARMS, SYSTEMATIC) and assisted by Brad Barth at Sonic Room/Audio Voyage studios in Livermore, California.

FORBIDDEN's last studio LP, "Green", was released in 1997 on the G.U.N. label.

Aday's debut U.S. collection, "Little Immaculate White Fox", was released on January 19 via Megaforce Records.

With a rock lineage that declares her "to the manor born," Pearl has created a collection of songs that takes you on a rock and roll journey. She was named after the infamous Janis Joplin and is the god daughter to Maria Muldaur. In addition, she has toured as a back-up singer with MÖTLEY CRÜE and she and her band have opened for VELVET REVOLVER.

Her new CD, with the help of Ian, is a cross between raw rock and roll and a sweetness that comes from Pearl's soul. The band has created a sound that combines influences from all genres of rock: from blues to heavy metal. Pearl says , "I just want to bring it all back to the real rock and roll, the soul, the emotion. I strip it all down and it comes from a raw and naked place inside me."

SINBREED (formerly NEOSHINE) features in its ranks guitarist Flo Laurin, BLIND GUARDIAN drummer Frederik Ehmke and SEVENTH AVENUE vocalist Herbie Langhans. The band's debut album, "When Worlds Collide", will be released in North America on April 6 via Nightmare Records. The CD, which will be made available in Europe on March 26 through Ulterium Records, was produced by Flo Laurin, mixed and mastered by Markus Teske (VANDEN PLAS, SYMPHONY X),and it includes guest appearances by Joost van den Broek (AFTER FOREVER) and Morten Sandager (MERCENARY) on keyboards, and Thomas Rettke (REDKEY, ex-HEAVEN'S GATE) on vocals. The artwork was created by Felipe Machado Franco (ICED EARTH, AYREON).

SINBREED's brand of power metal is described as a "blistering combination of speed, melodic and aggressive arrangements combined with high and soaring vocals."
