Former AUGURY Drummer Joins DEVIANT PROCESS

January 17, 2013

Former AUGURY drummer Antoine Baril has joined Canadian death metallers DEVIANT PROCESS. The band is currently working on its first full-length album, which will be produced by Antoine Baril at his Hemisphere Studio. The pre-production process has already started and the actual recording of the album is scheduled for the spring.

Commented DEVIANT PROCESS: "We are pleased to announce that Antoine Baril has joined DEVIANT PROCESS as our new drummer. We would like to thank Olivier Genest for his outstanding work in the band and wish him all the best in his future projects."

The seeds for DEVIANT PROCESS, formerly PSYCHIC PAIN, were planted in 2008 by JD Villeneuve (guitars/lead vocals) in Quebec City, Canada. After releasing a self-produced demo, JD managed to get the attention of PL Beaulieu (bass),Stéphane Simard (guitars/backing vocals) and Olivier Genest (drums),which led to the creation of DEVIANT PROCESS in 2009. Collectively, the band decided to move away from PSYCHIC PAIN's symphonic style and focus their energies into creating genuinely brutal and original progressive death metal.
