Former EMPEROR Drummer To Play On DISSECTION Comeback CD

Former EMPEROR drummer Bård "Faust" Eithun will be sitting behind the kit for DISSECTION's comeback release, due in late 2004. According to Eithun's newly-launched official web site, "the plan is [for Faust and currently-incarcerated DISSECTION mainman Jon Nödtveit to] start rehearsing during the spring 2003 and it seems like the constellation will be controversial in more than one aspect."

In other news, Eithun's early recordings with THORNS (1990-1992) will be issued by Norwegian controversial artist Bjarne Melgaard, while Faust is also said to be penning the lyrics for the forthcoming ZYKLON full-length. Meanwhile, Eithun will reportedly provide spoken-word passages over the phone to be included on the forthcoming release from Italian black metallers ABORYM.

Also on the Faust front, Eithun, Zamoth (ZYKLON, ex-EMPEROR) and Lars-Stian of SOURCE OF TIDE have formed a side project. According to the aforementioned site, "this is nothing but a project and the guys will be jamming together just for the fun of it and they will take it wherever it lead them. Anyway, this is Faust's first steady participation in about nine years so it is pretty remarkable in itself."
