Former HATE ETERNAL Bassist Explains His Departure
April 2, 2007Former HATE ETERNAL bassist Randy Piro has released the following statement to BLABBERMOUTH.NET regarding his departure from the group:
"As you may have heard by now, I have decided to relinquish my bass and vocal duties in HATE ETERNAL. Despite the overall accuracy of the official HATE ETERNALpress release regarding my departure, I feel it is necessary to address this issue personally, and in more detail.
"My reason for leaving HATE ETERNAL is to direct my focus and energy to the GIGAN beast exclusively. Many thanks to Derek, and Erik for the killer music we created and played, the times we shared, and all the lessons we learned during that chapter in our lives. An extended thanks goes to all the HATE ETERNAL fans, who made every show I played with the band a special one.
"The chance to create music that came purely from my heart and to finally jam with my friend Eric Hersemann (yes, he WAS in the band) finally took shape over the course of this past year. In GIGAN Eric and I will attempt to expand the boundaries of music, while evoking mental journeys filled with otherworldly experiences.
"With the addition of Grover Norton (drums),the band worked hard for the remainder of 2006 and in December, GIGAN went to Mana Studios to record our 'Footsteps of Gigan' demo that can be heard at www.myspace.com/giganmusic.
"We are currently in the process of writing new songs for our debut album."
