Former HELLOWEEN Frontman To Guest On EXECUTION CD
January 31, 2004Former HELLOWEEN frontman Michael Kiske is preparing to enter the studio to record a guest appearance for the forthcoming solo project of THOTEN frontman Renato Tribuzy, dubbed EXECUTION. "I will take a while to sing the song," Michael said. "It's nothing impossible, but [it calls for] very high-pitched vocals. I have to train for that first. You can compare it to a serious athlete: for a run of only a few seconds you have to train hard for several weeks, that's it! And it has to turn out good, of course!" Other musicians set to appear on the CD include ex-HELLOWEEN/current MASTERPLAN guitarist Roland Grapow (guitar),HAMMERFALL bassist Magnus Rosén, ANGRA guitarist Kiko Loureiro, PRIMAL FEAR/SINNER bassist Mat Sinner, PRIMAL FEAR vocalist Ralf Scheepers, and THOTEN drummer Marco Barzo.
In other news, Kiske's official webmaster has issued the following message in response to several inquires about Michael appearing on various recordings as a guest vocalist:
"Lately I received a lot of requests asking if it would be possible to have Michael singing on their albums or projects. I say, well, nothing [is] impossible under just one condition: Please no heavy metal songs, okay? Songs like the two he sang on AINA [the project spearheaded by acclaimed German producer Sascha Paeth] are always welcome."
