Former KORN Guitarist BRIAN' HEAD' WELCH: Solo Album Details Revealed
April 1, 2007Former KORN guitarist Brian "Head" Welch will release his first solo album, "It's Time to See Religion Die", in July 2007. The CD was recorded at at Fortitude Studios in Phoenix, Arizona with the help of drummer Josh Freese (A PERFECT CIRCLE, NINE INCH NAILS) and bassist Trevor Dunn (MR. BUNGLE, FANTOMAS). The projected track listing for the effort is as follows:

As previously reported, Welch will release his first book later this year. Titled "Save Me from Myself: How I Found God, Quit Korn, Kicked Speed, and Lived to Tell the Tale", it is due to arrive on July 1 and is now available for pre-order through Amazon.com. Welch has also been working on a documentary called "Washed By Blood" that will focus on his life and career.
Welch departed KORN in February of 2005 to devote his life to Christianity and spend more time with his daughter. The band has not permanently replaced him, using touring and session guitarists instead.
KORN is currently recording its eighth studio album.
