Former MEGADETH Bassist's Mother Undergoing Heart Surgery

Former MEGADETH/current F5 bassist David Ellefson's mother Frances Ellefson, was scheduled to undergo heart surgery today (Wednesday, July 1) at 3:30 CST. A posting on Ellefson's MySpace page states: "David and all of us here would ask that you take a moment to send your positive vibes, prayers and any good thoughts in her direction so that she may have comfort during this time as well as a speedy recovery. Thanks to all."

In addition to numerous gold and platinum records and seven Grammy-nominated works, David is the author of the book "Making Music Your Business" and has two metal bass guitar instructional DVDs through Rock House Method entitled "Metal Bass Vol. 1" and "Vol. 2". He is also a featured bass clinician, keynote speaker and panelist on the subject of music and the music industry.
