Former NEUROTICA Frontman Unveils New Band

September 10, 2003

STARRFACTORY, the new project led by former NEUROTICA/ATHEIST frontman Kelly Shaefer, have announced the details of their current lineup. Joining Shaefer in the new band are ex-SANCTUARY (pre-NEVERMORE) drummer Dave Budbill, and guitarists Donny Jaurols (ex-E3, SERRAPHINE) and Noah Thompson (ex-MEGALABLATTA).

Says Shaefer: "Donny has been a friend of mine for the last few years, playing in one of my favorite local bands E3/SERRAPHINE, and I have admired his abilities for quite a while, so when I got the chance to put this new band together he was my first choice for guitar, plus he sings like a fucking bird and he has been a monster to work with.

"Many of you may remember Dave as the drummer for a band called SANCTUARY. They toured with MEGADETH and the likes in the early-to-mid-Nineties and Dave has since been a part of a Jagermeister-sponsored band called DIFFICULT. He brings a ton of power to the band as well as experience both onstage and in the studio, he is an extremely high-energy player, I cannot wait to unleash him on the masses!!!!

"Noah comes from the depths of the Tampa music scene, playing in many local bands including MEGALABLATTA. I met him through our former drummer Jason West, he has also been a great addition to this project, both guitar wise and vocally."

STARRFACTORY have finished demoing seven songs so far and hope to hit the studio later this month to record a few more. "The new shit sounds very electric and exciting," says Shaefer.
