Former TWO HIT CREEPER Members Launch THE UNHEARD OF
May 30, 2004Former TWO HIT CREEPER members Jim (guitar) and Mike (vocals) have formed a new band called THE UNHEARD OF. "Like we said a year and a half ago when we ended TWO HIT CREEPER, this band is pure unadulterated rock with influences stemming from LED ZEPPELIN, GN'R, STP, ALICE IN CHAINS, BLACK SABBATH and RAINBOW," the group write in an online posting. "What we have been doing in this time is quite simple. We wrote a grip of songs, found a great rhythm section from South Carolina in Bobby Varnadoe (drums) and David Rogers (bass),played a slew of warm-up gigs both acoustic and electric and rehearsed our asses off. Over the last few weeks we have been at the well known and respected 4th Street Recording in Santa Monica, CA, who have been host to many a great band, laying down tracks for our debut E.P. We have already tracked the music for 8 songs and we are gonna go lay down 2 to 3 more in June plus all the vocals, some final overdubs and some keyboards. Then in late June/ early July, Roy Mayorga (ABLOOM, former SOULFLY) will be mixing the tracks for us to shop around and release in late summer. www.theunheardof.com will go up shortly after mixing is complete and we will be on the road working it from there on out. Again, THE UNHEARD OF is straight forward rock n' roll, dangerous, loose and in your face. It will be a grip of fun so check it out when you get the chance."
TWO HIT CREEPER, whose final set of demos were produced by Mayorga, had at one time caught the interest of ORGY frontman Jay Gordon, who wanted to issue the band's debut CD through his Division One imprint (a plan that was later abandoned).
