Former VENOM Members To Reunite At Tomorrow's JEFF FEST

September 16, 2009

DRYLL (formerly DRILL),the U.K.-based band featuring former VENOM guitarist and founding member Jeff "Mantas" Dunn, will perform at Jeff Fest on Thursday, September 17 at Trillians Rock Bar, Newcastle-Upon-Tyne, England. The charity-based event is being held in memory of well-known and loved Newcastle rock DJ Little Jeff who made a big impact on the rock scene at the likes of the world famous Newcastle Mayfair club which used to play host to the likes of IRON MAIDEN, MOTÖRHEAD and METALLICA, to name but a few.

For this gig, DRYLL will be joined by bassist Craig Elliott (formerly of DEF-CON-ONE) and none other than Antony "Antton" Lant of DEF-CON-ONE and recently also of VENOM. This will be the first time Mantas and Antton have played live together for almost 10 years since touring VENOM's "Resurrection" album. It promises to be a great night, and as well as charity auctions and raffles, other bands featured to play are REMEDY and KNUCKLEDRAGGER, with a DJ set from Little Jeff's former DJ partner Big Gordon.

Antton — who is the brother of VENOM frontman Conrad "Cronos" Lant — left VENOM in April in order to concentrate on his own band, DEF-CON-ONE.
