Former YNGWIE MALMSTEEN Singer's Management Office Goes Up In Flames (Literally)

On the morning of Friday, May 24th, the building housing the management office (Mugenkyo) of former YNGWIE MALMSTEEN singer Mark Boals in Encino, California suddenly exploded and went up in flames. The explosion was the result of a gas leak, not a terrorist attack.

Both Mark Boals and the staff of Mugenkyo are all safe. However, the office has been temporally moved to a hotel, but as soon as the security of the building is cleared, the office will move to a new location. In other news, Boals is currently working on a new solo album which will be a little different from his previous solo releases. More info on the musical direction and the musicians involved will be announced in the coming months. Also on the Boals front, the previously-announced DVD release from Mark's RING OF FIRE project will happen in the second half of 2002. Boals, who was overseeing the production, was forced to redo the DVD due to an undisclosed problem not of a technical nature.
