Founding SAXON Members OLIVER, DAWSON Working On Book

OLIVER DAWSON SAXON, featuring founding SAXON members Graham Oliver and Steve Dawson, took part in a live webcast from Berlin Studios (owned by former WHITESNAKE and current THIN LIZZY guitarist John Sykes) in Blackpool, UK on September 1. According to a press release, the webcast was so successful, with requests from Japan and the USA, that it was decided to re-stream the video several times. Highlights of the performance can now be seen on www.globegig.com and plans exist to release the footage commercially sometime next year.

Graham and Steve are currently writing a book entitled "Saxon Drugs And Rock And Roll: The Real Spinal Tap", due out in 2009. The foreword will reportedly be written by Harry Shearer who based his Derek Smalls character in "This Is Spinal Tap" character on Steve Dawson.
