FOZZY Guitarist Launches 'Solo' Career

August 30, 2004

Former STUCK MOJO and current FOZZY guitarist Rich "The Duke" Ward has posted three songs from his recently released solo demo CD (released under the band name THE DUKE) at this location.

According to a posting on Ward's web site, "THE DUKE's showcase performance at the 2004 Atlantis Music Conference [in late July] has led to discussions with a New York-based company. Initial indications are that this tree will bear some fruit. Based on these developments the band has returned to the studio to write and record at least three new songs."

Rich recently posted a lengthy message on his web site explaining the reasons for his decision to leave his previous outfits SICK SPEED and CAFU behind and go "solo." Read the message at this location.

As previously reported, FOZZY have finished mixing and mastering their third album, "All That Remains", for a fall release through an as-yet-undisclosed label (the band were previously signed to Megaforce Records). Zakk Wylde (OZZY OSBOURNE, BLACK LABEL SOCIETY),Marty Friedman (ex-MEGADETH),Mark Tremonti (ALTER BRIDGE, ex-CREED) and heavyweight rapper Bone Crusher have all recorded guest appearances on the CD, which is the follow-up to 2002's "Happenstance".
