GENE SIMMONS, PAUL STANLEY To Guest On VH1's 'Icon' Special

April 15, 2003

KISS bassist Gene Simmons and guitarist/vocalist Paul Stanley were recently interviewed for a huge VH1 10-hour special airing in July called "The 200 Greatest Pop Culture Icons". They were interviewed in full makeup and answered questions about being icons, their influence on other pop culture icons and offered comments on other icons, some of which people may find surprising.

In related news, KISS drummer Peter Criss offered the following comment on the recent passing of original KISS road manager Sean Delaney: "The Criss Family send their deepest condolences. Sean Delaney was a big influence on KISS. Amen to that. I loved him and will miss him dearly. He helped me grow and also helped on my first solo album. He co-wrote 'Rock Me Baby' and one of my favorite ballads 'I Can't Stop The Rain'. I believe that when it rains the angels are crying, So let the rain fall on him today. God Bless, Sean Delaney, and our prayers go out to all of his loved ones. Love, The Criss family"
