GHOULUNATICS To Record New Album Before The End Of The Year
September 2, 2003Montreal-based band GHOULUNATICS, winners of the 2002 MIMI (Montreal International Music Initiative) award in the "Metal Band" category over such acts as KATAKLYSM, GORGUTS, MARTY and NEURAXIS, will enter the studio before the end of the year to record the follow-up to 2002's successful "King of the Undead".
"The upcoming album will be just like any other project we undertake: full of surprises and true to what we do," the band said in an official press release. "We like heavy, crunchy metal music that has melodies. For us, you have to be able to feel the music — it has to have a soul. Music isn't just a bunch of notes played at 100 mph with tons of solos to please the kids. At this point, we're playing what WE wanna hear and we do it for ourselves first."
GHOULUNATICS will film their live performance on Halloween (November 1) for an upcoming video and for a 10-year-anniversary DVD that will be released at the end of 2004. "People who show up dressed as zombies for the shoot will have the chance to win a real casket from our singer's personal collection," according to the press release.
