GOD FORBID DVD Due In June
March 24, 2008New Jersey metal titans GOD FORBID will kick off their 2008 worldwide touring schedule this spring with a massive co-headlining North American tour, dubbed "In Thrash We Trust", with DEATH ANGEL. The trek, which kicks off on May 1, also features SOILENT GREEN and LIGHT THIS CITY in the support slots.
GOD FORBID is back in black and ready to deliver its career-defining statement with their much-anticipated new full-length album, which is set for a late summer release. However, preceding this release will be the group's first-ever DVD, "Beneath the Scars of Glory and Progression", which is due on June 10. This package features a sold-out performance shot with multi-camera angles at the Starland Ballroom in Sayreville, all of their promotional videos and an hour documentary composed of historical insight, introspection into each member's personalities, and some hysterical social commentary.
GOD FORBID's Doc Coyle states: "I am very proud to announce that GOD FORBID will be hitting the road in America on a co-headline tour with the legendary DEATH ANGEL. This is our first full U.S. tour in many years, so we feel honored that they would choose to do this with us. We will be splitting the closing of the shows so we can each get a chance to play in front of each others fans, which will be awesome. The rest of the bill is great as well. This is a dynamic and powerful line-up of veterans, legends and new comers. I think fans will really love this package. This tour will give us an opportunity to support our forthcoming DVD, 'Beneath the Scars of Glory and Progression'. I don't want to jinx the release date, but everything is pointing to that it will come out around half way through the tour. We also plan to play at least a couple new songs. We hope to see you all soon."
The new effort, once again produced by Eric Rachel (ATREYU, THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN),is the follow-up to the group's most successful offering yet, "IV: The Constitution of Treason".
