GOD FORBID Guitarist Issues DVD Update
July 29, 2007GOD FORBID filmed its live performance at the jam-packed Starland Ballroom in Sayreville, NJ in February 2007 for the band's upcoming DVD. Music video director David Brodsky (GWAR, STRAPPING YOUNG LAD, THE RED CHORD) led off the production, with his crew at MyGoodEye manning an eight-camera live performance shoot, also being edited by Brodsky. The entire performance was recorded and will be mixed by chief audio engineer of Trax East recording studio, Eric Rachel (SYMPHONY X, THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER, ATREYU). In addition, official live and behind the scenes photos were taken by Adam Leota of Prophecy21.com, as well as the up-and-coming Maria Newman.
GOD FORBID guitarist Doc Coyle has issued the following update:
"We've been home for the last few weeks working on the DVD and the new record. The audio for the DVD is done being mixed, and I have to say it sounds monstrous. Eric Rachel hit another home run. I love that guy! Dave Brodsky should start the editing process for the concert shortly, and I expect nothing but good things. We also filmed a bunch of interviews for the documentary, which I am sure will prove entertaining. Denise Korycki is working on the documentary, and she has a big task in front of her in regards to editing. She has every bit of footage ever shot of the band going back to '98 and '99. I am very interested in seeing what makes the cut. Hopefully, we can get it out this year, but we don't want to force it out until it's top-notch. Let's keep our fingers crossed. We also started writing for the next GOD FORBID CD. I can say it's going slow, but it's going. I'd love to get the record out next year, but no promises. We can't seem to stop touring, and the new record has to be a masterpiece or nothing at all. So I expect it to be a painstaking, heart wrenching process that hopefully we'll all survive."
Video footage of GOD FORBID performing the song "The End of the World" during the band's recent run with HATEBREED on "The Monsters Of Mayhem" tour (which also featured EVERGREEN TERRACE and THE ACACIA STRAIN) is available online at the Underground Video Television (UVTV) web site.
