GOREFEST: Release Date Set For 'La Muerte'
July 30, 2005Nuclear Blast Records has set an October 30 European release date for the fifth album from reunited Dutch metallers GOREFEST, entitled "La Muerte". The CD is currently being recorded at Excess studio in Rotterdam, Holland with engineer Hans Pieters. Mixing duties will be handled in August by Tue Madsen (THE HAUNTED, ABORTED, DISBELIEF, BORN FROM PAIN) at Antfarm studio in Denmark. Songtitles set to appear on the album include "Man to Fall", "You Could Make Me Kill", "The New Gods", "When the Dead Walk the Earth", "Malicious Intent", "Of Death and Chaos (A Grand Finale)", "'Till Fingers Bleed" and "The Fifth Crusade".
GOREFEST issued several CDs through the Nuclear Blast label in the early 1990s before switching to SPV for their last album, 1998's "Chapter 13".
Nuclear Blast Records earlier this month reissued the entire GOREFEST back catalog, complete with unreleased tracks, demos and other rarities. Everything was remastered, and booklets contain liner notes by renowned Dutch journalist and writer Robert Haagsma, along with many pics from the band's own private stash. In addition, Nuclear Blast has thrown in a cool box in which to store all the CDs from the collection.
