GRIFFIN Singer Suffers Heart Attack, Band's Future 'Unclear'
April 22, 2004Pete Beck, singer for the Norwegian metal act GRIFFIN, has suffered a heart attack, and is currently recovering at a local hospital. "At this moment, we don't know anything about his future condition, and if he'll be able to perform at the forthcoming gigs, including the Wacken Open Air festival," the band said in a statement. "We're not even sure if we would wanna do this without him. All we can do is to hope for the best, but at this moment everything regarding GRIFFIN is very unclear."
GRIFFIN's latest full-length album, "No Holds Barred", was recorded at Skansen Lydstudio in Trondheim, Norway under the co-production guidance of CHILDREN OF BODOM frontman Alexi Laiho. In addition to co-producing the effort, Laiho laid down guest guitar and vocals on the CD, which was released in Norway through FaceFront Records.
Prior to hooking up with FaceFront, GRIFFIN were signed to the French label Season Of Mist.
