GWAR Releasing Two SXSW Video Segments

June 21, 2010

Coming at you straight from Antarctica, galactic gut-punchers GWAR are releasing two hilarious video segments recorded at SXSW (South By Southwest) via Metal Blade TV. The videos feature the almighty GWAR parading the streets of Austin, Texas and interacting with their unfamiliar surroundings. The first video can be viewed below and the second will hit the web on June 23.

In other news, the "Iron City Rocks" podcast recently conducted an interview with GWAR frontman Oderus Urungus (a.k.a. Dave Brockie). The chat is now available for streaming using the audio player below.

"America Must Be Destroyed", GWAR's 1992 opus, can now be purchased in a special edition digipak that's also crammed with a DVD that includes the seminal GWAR films "Tour De Scum" and "Phallus In Wonderland".

GWAR's latest album, "Lust In Space", sold around 5,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 96 on The Billboard 200 chart.
