HEAVEN SHALL BURN: New Album Title Announced

October 16, 2007

Germany's groundbreaking death metal and hardcore fusionists HEAVEN SHALL BURN have set "Iconoclast (Part 1: The Final Resistance)" as the title of their new album due in Europe at the end of January and in North America in early February via Century Media Records. The CD was recorded at Rape Of Harmonies Studios in Germany and was mixed at Antfarm studios in Denmark with Tue Madsen.

Regarding the album title, HEAVEN SHALL BURN said ina statement, "It works on two levels: Each song tells a story that is rooted in reality. However, all songs are linked with an overall story about a cast of warriors called 'Iconoclasts.' Obviously, we won't give you any details about those warriors just yet."

To celebrate the completion of the new album, HEAVEN SHALL BURN will play a show at the Underground in Cologne, Germany this Saturday, October 20 alongside PITFALL and THE SET UP. "Our last show in Cologne was crazy and we haven’t played there in a while," the band said. "We are really looking forward to rock out live instead of in front of producers who keep correcting us. We might even play one new song already – just come and find out for yourself. We are definitely going to have a blast!!!"

HEAVEN SHALL BURN entered the national album chart in their home country at position No. 65 with their latest effort, "Deaf to Our Prayers".
