Heavy Metal Cinema: Rock, Shock And Schlock
September 2, 2005Yerba Buena Center for the Arts Screening Room in San Francisco, California is presenting a series of films under the banner "Heavy Metal Cinema: Rock, Shock and Schlock" on September 9, 14, 16, 23 and 30. The following is a brief description of the series, as posted at SFStation.com: "Heavy metal rock music has always offered a form of rebellion against authority to young people. This series examines this phenomenon, examining its nihilistic dark aspects, its craftsmanship, as well as its campy, histrionic tendencies."
