Heavy Metal Musicians Reveal Their Favorites From The Early Days Of Rock 'N' Roll

December 20, 2004

Paul Di'Anno (IRON MAIDEN),Phil Demmel (MACHINE HEAD, VIO-LENCE),Thomas Youngblood (KAMELOT) and Zak Stevens (CIRCLE II CIRCLE, SAVATAGE) are among the musicians that were recently asked by Imhotep Zine to name their favorite artists from the early days of rock 'n' roll.

The obvious choices were THE BEATLES, THE ROLLING STONES and THE WHO — groups that came into the view in the first half of the '60s, creating a big rock 'n' roll "boom." The musicians were asked if they would be able to name a favorite between them as well as to mention favorite songs, if possible. If none of the three bands mentioned were among the musician's preferences, he/she could choose and suggest another name.

Among the musicians that contributed to the article are the following:

Brian Vollmer (HELIX)
