HINDER Frontman Sitting Out Shows For 'Personal Reasons'; Special 'Guest' Singers Announced

Vocalist Austin Winkler of Oklahoma hard rockers HINDER has decided to temporarily leave the band's current tour for personal reasons. The rest of the group states: "Our thoughts and prayers are with him in this time and we know that he will be just fine. However, the band has decided, instead of canceling shows and leaving our die-hard fans hanging, we're going to keep the good times rolling on the road this summer. We have some guests filling in to help us out and promise you won't be disappointed! For those of you that have your tickets already, get ready for a great time! For those of you that don't, you won't want to miss out!

"Thanks again to our amazing fans for all your support. We can't wait to see you this summer… Get ready for the party!"

Joining HINDER on the upcoming dates will be SAVING ABEL's Jared Weeks and DRANKMORE's Marshal Dutton, who co-produced HINDER's latest album, "Welcome to The Freakshow", with Cody Hanson.

HINDER's fourth album, "Welcome To The Freakshow", was released on December 4, 2012 via Republic Records.

According to The Pulse Of Radio, Winkler told Billboard on that a "really dark drug binge" fueled much of his songwriting on "Welcome To The Freakshow". The singer explained to The Pulse Of Radio what his state of mind was during this tough period. "I was in a very, very, very dark addiction, and you can kind of hear the turmoil in my voice and stuff like that," he said. "And, you know, as soon as we got the record done I went into treatment to get help, and it's interesting to go back and listen to it now."

Winkler told Billboard that he entered rehab as soon as the record was finished. The album follows 2010's "All American Nightmare".

The first single, "Save Me", touches on Winkler's struggle, with him saying, "I had a really nasty attitude in that song, but I had a blast singing and recording it. I think it's our heaviest single yet, and we're getting a pretty good response."

The vocalist called the new disc "really diverse," adding that "it's going to surprise a lot of people."
