HORSE THE BAND To Release Photo Book/Six-DVD Set

March 10, 2010

Southern California's HORSE THE BAND has announced plans to release a photo book/six-DVD set featuring 15 hours of high-definition footage taken from 120 hours of raw material the group amassed during its 2008 45-country, three-month round-the-world tour. The band states, "Think of this not as a DVD or movie, but more like a novel in video form. Something you spend a lot of time with to reap a greater artistic reward for your soul. A rock odyssey, but something even greater, as rock is only one of many parts of the equation!"

According to HORSE THE BAND, "the DVDs will be nestled into the back cover of a hardcover full-color photo book. This will be either 50 or 100 pages. It's going to be 8 1/2" by 11" so it's big but still fits on your bookshelf. The books will be one of a kind with actual tour artifacts (ticket stubs, fliers, plane tickets) incorporated (sewn, pasted) into each. The books will be hand-bound (professionally, it will NOT fall apart, they will look and feel exactly like any book you buy in a store, quality-wise) and will be very beautiful and special items. The photo book will contain the best of the best pictures from tour and will follow the tour chronologically, so you can reference the photos while watching the DVD. Each member will write their memories of or explain specific photos which need explaining. There will be a lot of written content from the touring party including comments intended to humiliate other band members."

HORSE THE BAND recently released "We Flooded It, and There's Yoghurt Everywhere aka 48 Hours in Ukraine", its new feature-length film chronicling the band's now-infamous stay in Ukraine in the midst of "Earth Tour 2008". The DVD is available online through HORSE THE BAND's webstore.

The "We Flooded It" DVD features: exclusive HD, live-action footage from the band's wild trek across Romania; the narrow escape from the rogue nation of Transnistria with the help of the Moldovan Army; the heart-breaking aftermath of a missed show on the shores of the Black Sea; wild parties, infinite vodka; communal bathing; live shows; 24-hour nonstop techno; gratuitous male nudity; flooding; misplaced yoghurt; a fan; manic episodes; an onstage full mental breakdown at a misogynistic goregrind festival... the highest of highs... and the lowest of lows.
