HUMAN To Embark On Tour Of New Zealand
February 28, 2006New Zealand's longest serving hardcore death metal band HUMAN will embark on the "Amputation of a Nation" tour beginning in early March. March 2006 marks the group's 14th anniversary together, and the group's latest studio album, "Blood Bucket" (their 10th official release),is enjoying strong sales locally and overseas, while their over-the-top music videos have found favorable spots on C4 music television.
Long renowned throughout the New Zealand underground music scene as the maddest and most chaotic act around, the members of HUMAN have always maintained that their personas onstage and offstage are genuine and completely REAL. They have a tongue-in-cheek sense of humour that, when paired with their blistering two-minute metallic barrages (also known as "songs"),can win over any audience. With songs like "Wave Goodbye To Both your Hands" and "Decomposing Rectum Muscle" they have been compared to grindcore legends like NAPALM DEATH by some, and to comedic legends like Monty Python by others.
"We have no illusions in this band," says vocalist/guitarist Scott Spatcher-Harrison. "We know (musically speaking) what we're capable of, and really, we're just out there being ourselves. We don't care about anything else apart from having fun and entertaining our audience — whoever and wherever they are."
