IMAGIKA To Enter Studio In September

San Jose, California-based metallers IMAGIKA will enter Fang Studios in September to record their new CD, "Portrait Of A Hanged Man". KING DIAMOND guitarist Andy La Rocque will once again handle the mix at his Sonic Train Studios in Varberg, Sweden.

"Portrait Of A Hanged Man" will include the following tracks, among others:

01. Halo Of Flies
02. Simple Servant
03. One Word
04. My Final Hour
05. Keep The Wolves At Bay
06. Portrait Of A Hanged Man
07. Scared To Death
08. G.H.B.
09. Shadow of the Cross

Guitarist Steve Rice states: "IMAGIKA road-tested a lot of the new material live on our recent U.S. tour in May and this definitely confirmed we were going in the right direction the by the reaction we received from our fans. We hate making the same CD twice and never will. We always want to keep pushing ourselves to the next level and I believe we’ve achieved this with the quality of the new songs."

A label and release date for the effort have not yet been determined.

The band plans premiere a new track in November via MySpace.

Capital Chaos uploaded video footage (see below) of IMAGIKA performing the song "Bleed As One Appease The Gods" on May 13, 2009 at Java Cafe in Fair Oaks, California.

IMAGIKA's latest album, "Feast for the Hated" was released in the U.S. on May 20, 2008 via Locomotive Records. The CD was mixed at Sweden's Sonic Train Studio with Andy La Rocque.
