IN FLAMES' 'Soundtrack' Debuts At No. 145 On BILLBOARD Chart!
April 14, 2004Sweden's IN FLAMES have sold an impressive 10,659 copies of their new album, "Soundtrack To Your Escape", during its first week of release to debut at No. 145 on next week's The Billboard 200 chart, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
The following are the current SoundScan figures for IN FLAMES' recent back catalog (including the latest CD):
"Colony" (1999): 36,984
"Clayman" (2000): 41,858
"Reroute To Remain" (2002): 63,664
"Soundtrack To Your Escape" (2004): 10,659 (1st week)
As previously reported, "Soundtrack To Your Escape" has also registered the following first-week chart positions in various countries around the world: Sweden (No. 3),Finland (No. 13),Austria (No. 25),Japan (No. 29),Norway (No. 36),U.K. (No. 132),Hungary (No. 32),Germany (No. 28),France (No. 82).
"Soundtrack To Your Escape" was recorded at a rented house/converted studio in Denmark with producers Daniel Bergstrand (MESHUGGAH, STRAPPING YOUNG LAD) and Örjan Örnkloo (ex-MISERY LOVES CO.) and was mixed at Galaxy Studios in Mol, Belgium. Mastering duties were handled at the Cutting Room in Stockholm, Sweden.
IN FLAMES will be teaming up with KILLSWITCH ENGAGE for a co-headlining North American tour beginning on May 3 in the Midwest. The month-long run will wrap up in early June on the East Coast. Also appearing on the bill will be AS I LAY DYING.
