Woozyfly.com conducted an interview with guitarist Shane Clark and bassist Nick Cates of 3 INCHES OF BLOOD last week in New York City prior to the band's show at B.B. King Blues Club & Grill. They discussed such topics as their forthcoming video for the song "Trial of Champions" as well as the clip for "The Goatrider's Horde" being named one of the "Headbanger's Ball" Top 20 videos.

3 INCHES OF BLOOD has recruited drummer Ash Pearson (SOUND OF THE SWARM, JUST CAUSE) for the band's current tour with THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER, HATE ETERNAL and DECREPIT BIRTH. Pearson joins the group as the replacement for Alexei Rodriguez, who was unceremoniously dismissed from the band after he landed in a physical confrontation with SAXON drummer Nigel Glockler at the Hard Rock Hell festival in England this past November.
3 INCHES OF BLOOD has been added to Metal Hammer's Defenders Of The Faith tour. Running from April 23 to April 26, the tour also features OPETH, ARCH ENEMY and DEVILDRIVER.
The dates are as follows:
April 23 - Birmingham, UK @ Academy
April 24 - Glasgow, UK @ Barrowlands,
April 25 - Manchester, UK @ Academy,
April 26 - London, UK @ Academy

On October 9, 2007, 3 INCHES OF BLOOD released an exclusive digital-only three-song EP, "Trial of Champions". The EP features the title track, B-side "Key to Oblivion" and "In the Time of Job When Mannon Was a Yippie", a unique interpretation of the song originally performed by LUCIFER'S FRIEND. "Key to Oblivion" is a B-side track from the recording sessions for their recent Roadrunner Records full-length release, "Fire Up the Blades", produced by Joey Jordison (SLIPKNOT). The digital-only EP can be found via iTunes and other online outlets.
