IRON MAIDEN Confirmed For Portugal's SUPER BOCK SUPER ROCK FESTIVAL

British heavy metal veterans IRON MAIDEN will perform at the Super Bock Super Rock Festival in Lisbon, Portugal on Wednesday, July 9 at the Parque do Tejo as part of their Somewhere Back In Time World Tour 2008.

Commented bassist Steve Harris: "I'm personally really looking forward to be playing this festival as I have a lot of close ties with Portugal because I spend a lot of time at my second home in Faro where I also have my Eddie's Bar as well. So I will have a lot of friends and regulars coming down to this show. The Portuguese fans have always been very ardent and loyal followers of the band so it should be a great festival."

On February 5, 2008 MAIDEN will release the highly anticipated DVD of "Live after Death" and to tie in with this will play songs mainly from their classic '80s albums on this forthcoming tour. The stage production will also feature a production-based on the Egyptian-themed "Powerslave Tour" which was featured on the original 1985 video release of "Live after Death".
