It's Official: ULI JON ROTH, MICHAEL SCHENKER To Team Up For American Tour

It has been officially confirmed today that legendary guitarist Uli Jon Roth (ex-SCORPIONS) will embark an American co-headlining tour with the MICHAEL SCHENKER GROUP (MSG) starting at the end of August. The tour will comprise of approximately 20 shows some of the concerts are also going to feature GEORGE LYNCH. Both Uli and Michael are going to play a full-length set each and then share the stage together for the finale. The two axemen have not played together since their amazing joint appearance at the first Legends Of Rock concert at Castle Donington in 2001. "Uli is looking forward very much to the tour, to meet his American fans again — after an absence of 19 (!) years — and to play with one of the greatest guitarists of all time, his friend Michael," reads a posting on Roth's web site. "Uli's set will include material from all periods of his career, including ELECTRIC SUN, SCORPIONS as well as pieces from his latest album 'Metamorphosis'." So far, only one date has been leaked: September 17 at Jaxx in West Springfield, Virginia. Additional cities and dates will be announced soon.
