JÜRGEN 'J.R.' BLACKMORE Performs With DEEP PURPLE In Hamburg (Video)

Jürgen "J.R." Blackmore — son of legendary DEEP PURPLE/RAINBOW guitarist Ritchie Blackmore — joined DEEP PURPLE on stage during the band's November 27, 2010 concert at Sporthalle in Hamburg, Germany to perform the PURPLE classic "Smoke On The Water". Fan-filmed video footage of his appearance can be viewed below.

Jürgen Blackmore is involved with OVER THE RAINBOW alongside several former RAINBOW members — Joe Lynn Turner (RAINBOW 1980-1984) on vocals, Bobby Rondinelli (RAINBOW 1980-1983) on drums, Greg Smith (RAINBOW 1994-1997) on bass and Paul Morris (RAINBOW 1994-1997) on keyboards. He agreed to join this endeavor after realizing how intense the demand was for a RAINBOW "reunion."

OVER THE RAINBOW marks the first time that four members from three different eras of RAINBOW have taken the stage together along with J.R. Blackmore.
