JEFF PILSON To Rejoin DIO?
March 19, 2004KNAC.com is reporting that bassist Jeff Pilson (ex-DOKKEN) will be reuniting with former bandmates in DIO to record the group's as-yet-untitled new album. Pilson replaces Jimmy Bain, who recently exited the band.
Frontman Ronnie James Dio, guitarist Craig Goldy, drummer Simon Wright and Pilson will be entering the studio in April to record the follow-up to 2002's "Killing The Dragon", tentatively due in the summer. A European tour will start in July 2004, to be followed by a U.S. tour in August.
As previously reported, Bain is believed to have formed a new project with drummer Vinny Appice (ex-BLACK SABBATH, DIO) and guitarist Carlos Cavazo (ex-QUIET RIOT). No further information is available at this time.
