JOE SATRIANI Forced To Skip IAN GILLAN's San Francisco Gig

Legendary guitarist Joe Satriani was unable to make his previously announced appearance at Ian Gillan's (DEEP PURPLE) show at Slim's in San Francisco, CA on Monday, September 11 "due to last-minute conflicts with the production of [his] new live DVD," according to a posting on Satriani's web site.

In other news, Satriani has made the sixth and final podcast available in a series featuring updates from his band on the road during their European tour, some special events back in the U.S. and the final mixing of his new "Satriani LIVE!" DVD. Check it out at this location.

Satriani will team up with John Petrucci (DREAM THEATER) and Eric Johnson for the G3 Latin America/Mexico tour beginning October 16 in Mexico City.
