KINGDOM OF SORROW To Utilize Stand-In Guitarist For Part of GWAR Tour

Guitarist/vocalist Kirk Windstein — who is a member of CROWBAR, DOWN and KINGDOM OF SORROW — has issued the following update:

"Just wanted to issue an update on the status of the DOWN and KINGDOM OF SORROW touring. Obviously my commitment is to DOWN and I cannot wait for these Australian and Japanese dates as well as the METALLICA shows in the U.S. [starting on October 21 and concluding on November 23]. I am beyond honored and excited! Since KINGDOM OF SORROW has been confirmed on the GWAR tour [during October/November] for a while, I am insisting that they find a fill-in for me and do the tour but I will try and make as many shows as humanly possible. It looks likely that I will be able to finish the last few weeks of the tour with them."

DOWN frontman Philip Anselmo revealed in an online post last month that DOWN has recorded at least six new songs for a possible new CD which may also include previously unreleased material from the "Over the Under" sessions.

DOWN's video for the song "On March The Saints" can be viewed on YouTube. The track comes off the group's latest album, "Over the Under", which was released on September 25, 2007 through ILG/Warner Music Group (one day earlier internationally via Roadrunner Records). The LP was issued in Europe as a limited-edition digipack CD featuring the bonus track "Invest in Fear".

"Lead Into Demise", the first video from KINGDOM OF SORROW — which also features in its ranks Jamey Jasta (HATEBREED) — can be viewed below. KINGDOM OF SORROW performed at this year's one-day Ozzfest on August 8 in Frisco, Texas.
