KISS To Tour With LIMP BIZKIT?
January 12, 2004According to a posting at www.kisskollector.com, LIMP BIZKIT are strongly rumored to have landed the opening slot on some of the dates currently being finalized for the remainder of KISS' World Domination 2003-04 Tour. "Although management says nothing has been confirmed yet as far as the 'rumored' tours of Australia, Japan and the USA go (and currently there are no plans at all anymore for a European tour!),it is more than likely that the next leg of the tour will indeed kick of Down Under because the very first KISS Store is scheduled to open in Australia in April," the message on the site reads.
"Meanwhile, word has it [drummer] Peter [Criss] might not be in the band anymore by then as apparently his contract has run out once again. So, could it be that the December 20 show in Fresno was the last show for Peter, who celebrated his birthday on stage that same night?!"
In related news, Mausoleum Records will shortly re-release a 1998 album by a band called STREAM, featuring ex-KISS drummer Eric Singer on nine out of the 10 tracks. The band, which was built around Peter Scheithauer, further consisted of ex-BLACK SABBATH/OZZY OSBOURNE bassist Bob Daisley and former GIUFFRIA singer David Glenn Eisley. Originally titled "Nothing Is Sacred", the album will be reissued in late January with new artwork, several bonus tracks and a new title: "Chasin' The Dragon".
Also on the KISS-related front, at the end of KISS Kollector's annual KISS Expo, which took place on October 26, special guest/former KISS guitarist Mark St. John jammed on acoustic guitar with the cover band TORPEDO GIRLS backstage for a little while. You can check out video footage of this, as well as of Mark's photo session with the TORPEDO GIRLS, at www.torpedogirls.com by clicking on "Media".
