KONKHRA Frontman: 'We Are Faster Than We Have Ever Been'

April 28, 2007

Guitarist/vocalist Anders Lundemark of the Danish extreme metallers KONKHRA has issued the following update:

"Today I'm calling Tue [Madsen, producer] about mixing the first half of the [new KONKHRA] record next week. We are leaving for the states on May 17th, and what's pimary on the agenda is getting to Florida to cut the leads for the record. James [Murphy; TESTAMENT, DEATH, OBITUARY] is on, and we can't wait to hear everything come together finally. This one will definately show both old sides and new sides to the band. We are faster than we have ever been. Probably also a lot tighter (except for the guitars, hehe...).

"A quick thanks for the interest to the 5+ labels that have been getting in touch about releasing the new one. We will be getting back to you [as soon as possible]. And now we will actually have some new music to play for people soon."

A new KONKHRA instrumental demo track, which has the working title "Killswitch One", has been posted online at the band's MySpace page.

KONKHRA released its latest CD, "Reality Check", in May 2003 through Code666 Records. The album was recorded at guitarist/vocalist Anders Lundemark's own Starstruck Studio and was the group's first since their split with longtime label Diehard Records.
