KORN Frontman Auctions Tickets To Exclusive Performance
May 31, 2002KORN frontman Jonathan Davis successfully auctioned three tickets to the band's exclusive performance on May 29th at the El Rey Theatre in Los Angeles on the charity auction site Startrader.com.
The winning bidder was Heather Osborne of San Diego who ended up paying $211 to see the show.
Melissa Paul, assistant director of development for Make a Wish Los Angeles was on hand at the El Rey Theatre prior to the show to greet Osborne and accept the donation made in Davis' name.
"We are deeply appreciative to Jonathan Davis, KORN, The Firm, Epic Records, KROQ, and the L.A. Area Make a Wish Foundation for supporting our auction. Through their support we were able to truly create what we like to call a 'Startrader' moment," said Startrader.com CEO Skip McNevin.
"We had less than 48 hours to publicize the event, on a holiday weekend no less. But we did succeed in raising funds for a non-profit organization that means quite a bit to Jonathan Davis. We are really grateful to have a chance to help Make a Wish, and also help some dedicated KORN fans get into one of the hottest shows in town," said McNevin.
KORN will issue their new album, entitled Untouchables, on June 11th through Immortal/Epic Records.
