KORN's "Untouchables" Debuts At #2 On Billboard Pop Album Chart!
June 19, 2002KORN shifted in excess of 434,000 copies of their latest effort, entitled Untouchables, since the album's release on June 11th, according to Soundscan, landing the quintet at position #2 on next week's Billboard Pop Album chart.
As strong as KORN's first-week numbers were, they were not enough to beat EMINEM, whose The Eminem Show ended the week with a tally of more than 529,000—nearly 100,00 more than the weekly total for Jonathan Davis and Co.
Untouchables scored the second-highest opening week for KORN, whose 1999 release Issues moved 575,000 copies and 1998's Follow the Leader sold 268,000 copies during their respective opening weeks.
In other chart news, The Osbourne Family Album, featuring Kelly Osbourne's cover of "Papa Don't Preach", failed to crack the top 10, debuting at No. 13 instead with 56,548 in sales.
