KORPIKLAANI Kicking Off 'Finnish Fire' Tour Tonight

November 13, 2008

The "Finnish Fire" European tour — featuring headliners KORPIKLAANI alongside BATTLELORE, KIVIMETSÄN DRUIDI and FALCHIO — is scheduled to kick off tonight (Thursday, November 13) in Giessen, Germany.

According to KORPIKLAANI, "During this tour we will play many songs that we never ever played live before, and… we have three setlists that will be rotated. So every fourth day we will play the songs from the first day again. If you want to hear all our songs you have to come on three succeeding days. That is, if we do not confuse the setlists. Then, a very cool thing will happen, during the gigs in Belgium and Holland [November 29-30] a film crew will record everything these days… yes, not just us on stage, but also off stage, and they plan also to interview fans! This material will be used for an upcoming movie about Finnish metal."

KORPIKLAANI's latest album, "Korven Kuningas", came out on March 21, 2008 via Nuclear Blast Records. The CD entered the album chart in the band's home country at position No. 16.

"Korven Kuningas" was released as a limited first edition with bonus tracks and on white colored vinyl. There is also a strictly limited digipak version (limited and numbered to 500 copies) which includes a drinking horn on a wall holder.

Watch professionally filmed footage of KORPIKLAANI's performance at this year's Graspop Metal Meeting, which was held June 27-29, 2008 in Dessel, Belgium
