KROKUS: 'Hoodoo' Release Party Announced
February 12, 2010Swiss hard rock veterans KROKUS will celebrate the release of their new album, "Hoodoo", on February 25 at Kofmehl in Solothurn, Switzerland. The event is not open to the public, but the band is giving away 100 tickets to 50 of its loyal fans (two tickets for each winner). Peter Waelti the KROKUS Globe Club For Clan & Fan writes in a newsletter, "50 people that live in and around Switzerland that send their full name and exact mailing address to [email protected] will win 2 tix per person to join KROKUS at the Hoodoo Lounge. We will raffle off the tickets. The record company will send the tickets in time to the winners. You need a ticket to enter the event."
KROKUS recently filmed a video for the song "Hoodoo Woman" with director Oliver Sommer, who has previously worked with APOPTYGMA BERZERK and SARAH CONNOR, among others.
KROKUS will release its new album, "Hoodoo", on February 26 via the band's new deal with the Swiss branch of Sony Music. The CD was recorded by Dennis Ward (who previously worked on KROKUS' "Hellraiser" album) at House of Music Studios in Winterbach, Germany, with additional recordings at Pink Bild and Ton (engineered by ex-KROKUS member Jürg Naegeli) in Solothurn, Switzerland and Henson Studios, Los Angeles. Photography, artwork and graphic design was handled by Martin Häusler.

The digipack version includes a bonus DVD containing some of the "magic moments" from KROKUS' 2008 reunion concert at Stade De Suisse in Bern, Switzerland.
